Services Begin at 10:30AM Sundays

The UUCLV has a long tradition of presenting wonderful music during our service. Our Music Committee is busy scheduling more amazing musicians for 2008. Watch this page for dates and artists.

Below are some of the performers from last year (2007).

November 11 - Two of a Kind (folk duo)
"TWO OF A KIND is a one-of-a-kind find!" says Publishers' Weekly. TWO OF A KIND delights audiences of all ages with their music, good humor and audience participation. This award-winning, nationally touring, husband-wife duo specializes in interactive musical programs for children and families. David and Jenny Heitler-Klevans have been singing together since 1987. Their beautiful harmonies accompanied by David's powerful, rhythmic guitar playing and Jenny's multi-ethnic percussion instruments create magic on stage.

November 18 - Arati Shah-Yukich, well-known Indian Classical Singer
Performer, recording artist, and composer Arati Shah-Yukich has a degree in Vocal Hindustani Classical Music as well as a Ph.D. from M.I.T. in Radiological Sciences. She was the lead singer for "Shanti," a unique choir production performed last Spring at Zoellner Auditorium, Lehigh University. She has led many workshops in Indian Classical Music and also teaches privately. She is active in the Lehigh Valley Greens, and in environmental and social justice causes.

They will perform transcriptions of Thanksgiving pieces by Wilbur Held (noted American organ composer) and J. S. Bach (noted German organ composer).

December 2 - The Beacon Choir
The choir will perform Advent Pieces and Rafi Zimmerman, piano, will play the Offertory

December 9 - Cambiata (Early Music Ensemble)
CAMBIATA formed to bring the Renaissance to life through music in eastern Pennsylvania. We have been introducing audiences of all ages to the sights and sounds of Europe's royal courts and rural hamlets since 1993. Cambiata began as a recorder consort in the mid-1980s, performing concerts and at festivals for nearly a decade. Ruth Maletz and Ilse Stoll Zinnes are founding members, and Sara Cox and Bill Thatcher joined in 1993 creating the ensemble of today. Since creating the current ensemble, we have added a variety of colorful Renaissance instruments, such as lute, harpsichord, krumhorns, gemshorns, viola da gamba, vielle, and Renaissance guitar. We continue to perform throughout the region at festivals, children's concerts, church services, weddings, and more.
