Welcome to Unitarian Universalism!

"Unitarian Universalism is a caring, open-minded religion that encourages you to seek your own spiritual path. Our Faith draws on many religious traditions, welcoming people with different beliefs. We are united by shared values, not by creed or dogma. Our congregations are places where people gather to nurture their spirits and put their faith into action by helping to make our communities - and the world - a better place." (from the UUA Visitor's Page, http://www.uua.org/visitors/)

FIRST: Who we are and what we believe

We are a Welcoming Congregation, open to all, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical ability, or religious tradition

We are a liberal religious community. While Unitarian Universalism is a creedless religion, we do believe and try to live by its Seven Principles. You'll find our Principles listed on the back of the Order of Service (this is the flyer handed out as you enter the Sanctuary for service.)

  1. The inherent worth and dignity of every person;
  2. Justice, equality and compassion in human relations;
  3. Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations;
  4. A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;
  5. The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and society at large;
  6. The goal of world community with peace, liberty and justice for all;
  7. Respect for the interdependent web of existence of which we are a part.
