Who we are and what we believe
We are a Welcoming Congregation, open to all, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical ability, or religious tradition
We are a liberal religious community. While Unitarian Universalism is a creedless religion, we do believe and try to live by its Seven Principles. You'll find our Principles listed on the back of the Order of Service (this is the flyer handed out as you enter the Sanctuary for service.)
- The inherent worth and dignity of every person;
- Justice, equality and compassion in human relations;
- Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations;
- A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;
- The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and society at large;
- The goal of world community with peace, liberty and justice for all;
- Respect for the interdependent web of existence of which we are a part.
Social Action
This congregation has a long standing commitment to Social Action. We may take public stands with congregation wide position statements. We also undertake congregation wide social action projects for environmental issues, peace initiatives, hosting the homeless shelter during winter months and help with soup kitchens and peace initiatives. There is a Social Action "corner" in the Community Room where you can find current information.
Becoming Active in Our Community
There are signup sheets in the Community Room with easy ways to get started! Sign up to bring flowers for the service, be an usher or help out with coffee hour. If you are attending a function, such as the spaghetti dinner, yard sale ask if you can help with setup or clean up. It's a great way to meet friends and become a part of the community!
Becoming a Member
Please see our pamphlet "A Path to Membership", which you should be able to find in the pews, and at the Newcomer's Table in the Community Room after Service. You may also want to speak with the Minister or a Member of the Membership Committee near the Newcomer Table during Coffee Hour after Service.
Adult Education
We offer classes and discussion groups that are open to the public. Our ongoing Sunday Breakfast Forum held on Sunday mornings at 9 AM with bagels and coffee is a popular gathering for topics on current events, philosophy, sciences and spiritual topics. Our New UU classes go into greater detail about what it means to be a Unitarian Universalist. A variety of classes are offered throughout the year.

Green Sanctuary
We are a Unitarian Universalist Association certified Green Sanctuary and are committed to preserving the earth's resources. We take steps as a congregation and personally to become a model of environmental stewardship.
